I used it sometimes. PGDesigner is different from pgAdmin3 and phppgAdmin because it is used for designing database schemas and not for managing a database. In my opinion it is a useful software but not a mandatory. For me, we can remove it from ArcheOS next and maybe search for another similar application in the future.

Ciao

2015-11-23 15:15 GMT+01:00 Luca Bezzi <luca.bezzi@arc-team.com>:

Hi all,
just a first question for the community. Until now we supported ArcheOS with PGDesigner (http://pgdesigner.sourceforge.net/en/index.html) which came from the official Debian repos. I see in Jessie the software is not (yet? longer?) supported, so I was thinking if it is really necessary for ArcheOS-next, as we have already a couple of other options packaged (pgAdmin3 and phppgAdmin). MAybe it is time to leave PGDesigner?
I never used this software, so I would like to know the opinion of regular users.
Ciao.
