Si continiuamo in italiano...<br>Allora:<br>Io avevo gia Windows 7 installato,<br>Ho fatto un istallazione di ArcheOS con le partizioni che tu avevi suggerito, e fin qui tutto bene. Il sistema e' stato installato.<br>

Ora pero' il bootloader di Windows ovviamente ha solo una entry(quella di windows).<br>Vorrei semplicemente aggiungere una seconda entry a questo bootloader cosi' posso scegliere di partire in Windows o ArcheOS.<br>

<br>Non so se in questo caso entra in gioco Grub che se ho ben capito, e' il suo bootloader. Ma se possibile non vorei usarlo ed usare il bootloader di window.<br><br>Una volta avevo gia fatto questa operazione con Ubuntu e non c'erano stati problemi, potevo sceglierlo (dal bios schermata iniziale).<br>

ma al momento, quando scelgo di far partire ArcheOS non trova il file di boot, sicuramente dovuto al fatto che ho fatto un entry

Per avere un doppio boot, con due sistemi operativi distinti, GRUB deve essere installato dopo windows nell'MBR. Solitamente se viene installata una qualsiasi distribuzione Linux recente (come ArcheOS), questa si occupa automaticamente di installare GRUB e configurarlo per presentare in fase di boot, la scelta del sistema operativo da avviare.<br>



Se invece Windows viene installato dopo Linux, sicuramente l'MBR verra' sovrascritto dal bootloader di Windows.<br>In questo caso occorre avviare il sistema con una distribuzione live e reinstallare GRUB.<br><br>


Spero di aver capito il problema ed aver fugato almeno alcuni dubbi. <br>

However, this is handled by the Debian/Ubuntu installer...you
