Buongiorno a tutti,<br>

dalla versione 3.qualcosa del kernel linux il mio pc ha avuto
problemi di kernel panic durante l'installazione di tutte le
distribuzioni presenti nel panorama linux.<br>
Dopo diverse ricerche ho trovato un bug segnalato da altri utenti
che identificano il problema nel ricevitore infrarossi del mio pc.<br>
Non essendo disattivabile da bios e non avendo voglia di smontare il
notebook per scollegarlo fisicamente ho seguito queste istruzioni
per installare ubuntu 12.04:<br>

<code>A workaround to be able to install Precise on these systems:<br>
- Boot with a 12.04 Live CD or USB.<br>
- Press a key to acces the options, select your language.<br>
- Press f6 to edit the commandline (advanced options), then press
esc to dismiss the popup.<br>
- On the kernel command line, after the --, add
ite_cir.blacklist=yes<br>
- Press enter<br>

This will allow you to boot into the Live environment and try out
or install 12.04.<br>
<br>
On first boot, you'll be affected by this problem again, so:<br>
- When booting, right after your PC's POST routine finishes, press
the right SHIFT key. Keep it pressed until the GRUB menu appears.<br>
- Press 'e' to edit parameters for the boot entry.<br>
- Move down to the "linux" line (next to last), then move to the
end of that line.<br>
- again, type ite_cir.blacklist=yes at the end of this line<br>
- Press ctrl-x.<br>

This should have you booted into your new system. From here you
can do the workaround from comment #6 to make the blacklisting
permanent.<br>

c'č modo di capire se hanno fixato questo bug (che poi
fondamentalmente č lo stesso)?

inoltre, se l'hanno fixato, il fix perpetuerą in tutte le verisioni
di kernel successive o prima o poi verrą "dismesso"?

insomma, in parole povere, come funziona la risoluzioni di bug
segnalati?<br>
