Nei sorgenti del kernel (2.4.23) vedo:

/usr/src/linux# ls drivers/usb/serial/omni*
drivers/usb/serial/omninet.c

Guardandoci dentro trovo:

Fa al caso tuo? Diventa root e prova a dare, da console:

modprobe omninet

e guarda che cosa succede. Il comando modprobe serve a far caricare un
modulo (e tutte le eventuali dipendenze) dal kernel.

se e` supportata (credo proprio che lo sia).
