Come primo test proverei a vedere se la cartella /etc/mysql esiste<br>

Se esiste la cartella, controlla anche che esista il file. Se non
esiste crealo (vi /etc/mysql/my.cnf - poi [ESC] e digita :wq! )<br>
Poi fai apt-get install -f.<br>

Se ancora cosė non funziona rimuovi e pulisci tutto ( apt-get
autoremove --purge mysql-server mysql-server-5.1 )<br>
Poi reinstallalo!<br>

Vedi se cosė risolvi.<br>
