I just uploaded pxc-snapshot-000719.tar.gz to ftp.systemy.it/pub/develop .
It should reach the mirror sites in a while. Active mirrors are:
ftp://ftp.systemy.it/pub/develop (original place)
ftp://animal.unipv.it/pub/people/rubini (nightly mirror)
ftp://ftp.linux.it/pub/People/Rubini (nightly mirror)
ftp.prosa.it is currently *not* mirroring my stuff (and it has not been
since June 5 <g>).
The snapshot implements "sane grabbing", something that should had
been there from the beginning. Instead of using continuous grabbing
for everything, the driver now grabs a single frame or field and then
stops DMA. So you'll read a single image from the pgm/ppm nodes even
if you read slowly. The raw entry points behave in the usual way.
While I found that the difference is visible, even with pxc_live or
pxc_xgrab, I'd like some feedback on this stuff, especially from
Daniel Senie.
This is not an official release as I want to add images to the
documentation before making 0.28 (which I must do shortly anyway to
include the package in an acquisition system I sell). No other
features are planned for 0.28 besides the docs, though. So this may be
considered "pre-0.28-final".
Enjoy (hopefully :)
