I am still using  pxc-0.23  because  0.26  and  0.28 both reliably give me
streaks, regardless of the specific motherboard and processor (I've tried
two).  The streaks seem to correlate with processor load, so I _guess_ they
are due to missed interrupts, but my ignorance of the insides the kernel is
massive.

pxc 0.23 had to be mofified to work with  include/linux/modversions.h  and
I _think_ Allesandro made that change in  pxc 0.24 , but I never moved up.

I'm running Linux 2.2.12-20, pretty much as delivered by Red Hat in  RH6.2 .
