Subject: [ANNOUNCE] pgAdmin III - Call for Translators

As many of you already know, pgAdmin is a widely used Open Source GUI
Management tool for PostgreSQL, similar to DB2's Control Center or SQL
Server's Enterprise Manager.

We are currently working on the next generation pgAdmin III, with the
aim of releasing it at approximately the same time as PostgreSQL 7.4.
pgAdmin III currently runs on Windows, various flavours of Linux, and
FreeBSD, and allows the browsing and management of virtually every
PostgreSQL object type, has a nice SQL interface and a data editting
tool.

In addition to full Unicode support, we also aim to translate pgAdmin
III into a wide variety of languages - so far we have seven translations
from English, with another 13 on the way. This is a task that can easily
be undertaken by non-programmers. If you are interested in helping out
by translating pgAdmin into your preferred language, then please email
the pgadmin-hackers list pgadmin-hackers@postgresql.org to let us know.
To subscribe, send a subscribe message to
pgadmin-hackers-request@postgresql.org.

The current list of translators, and languages without translators may
be found at:

http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_U
S/translation_team.html.

Please feel free to suggest any additional languages. The translation
process and guidelines for translators may be found at:

S/translation_steps.html
http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_U
S/translation_guidelines.html

Finally, the pgAdmin snapshots (in source and some binary formats) may
be found at

http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_U
S/snapshots.html

along with details of compiling the CVS code or source tarballs on *nix
systems:

S/unix_compilation.html

The translation effort is being organised by Jean-Michel POURE
(jm.poure@freesurf.fr).

We appreciate any time you may wish to donate to the effort.

Regards, Dave.
