Why the copyright violation?

Why did you repost the whole article, when:

the terms of use (http://www.theglobeandmail.com/services/site/terms.html) explicitly prohibit redistribution, and

the full text is freely available without registration or limitations at the original URL?

What is the benefit of such a copyright violation? It damages the original site (subtracting traffic, that is banner views) without any advantage for the end users
