Yes, could be a driver issue related to some hardware...
You could try to rebuild the iso using this method:
*sudo lb clean*
*lb config --debian-installer-distribution daily*
*sudo lb build*
*
*
in this way you fetch the latest live-installer from the debian
repositories, with the possibility that a patch for your issue has been
resolved...
