Hi all,
I've written a simple front-end program to let GNU-barcode cmd tool
simply used in ms-office.
I build a COM component redrawing the postscript output of command tool
on the document.
This software is used by myself or will be published as a freeware.
But what license should I used for the software? GPL? Or ?
Sorry that I'm newbie in GNU's world.
And thanks for anyone willing to answer my question.
Regars,

Hi.
> This software is used by myself or will be published as a freeware.
Please avoid the word "freeware", as it's poorly defined.
See http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/words-to-avoid.html
> But what license should I used for the software? GPL? Or ?
No, you can't use the GPL, since it's going to be used as a module of
a non-GPL program (actually, a proprietary one).
You can use a MIT-style license (non-copyleft) or the LGPL, clarifying
what the "Library" is in this case.
Please refer to http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl-faq.html
Hope this helps

PS: please avoid sending two copies of your mail message. The html is
definitely unneeded and exceedingly long. You should configure your mailer
to only send the text version of your messages.

Greetings,
the attached patch adds "string.h" to the included list of headers on
sample.c, so strcmp is correctly defined.
