guarda che con il primo CD puoi fare il boot anche con il kernel 2.4 (mi pare 
bf-2.4) comunque quando parte LILO ci sono delle indicazione su quale sia il 
kernel giusto nelle verie schermate che ottieni premento F1,F2, etc etc...
Alternativamente guarda l'help che e' sul CD o sul sito di debian.
