Mi sono andato a rivedere un po`  di log ed ho trovato quanto riporto in
allegato. In particolare mi insospettisce la riga :

Could not reverse map address 217.201.22.64.

C'entra qualcosa con la tua  raccomandazione per la risoluzione dei nomi
?  La mia  connessione  e` tramite  dial-up quindi  non  posso avere  un
indirizzo fisso.

Per rispondere  ad embyte:  in ssh_config non  ho settato  alcun valore,
quindi sono  tutti quelli  di default,  compreso la  compressione. Posso
leggere qualcosa per ottimizzare la connessione ?
