[bglug] schermo notebook

Ciao a tutti!
Qualche giorno fa ho acquistato un notebook della packard bell.
Carino e tutto e ho installato la SUSE 10.2.
Però ho un problema con lo schermo: mentre con winzoz mi funziona fino alla
risoluzione 1280x800
(è uno schermo 15.4"), con linux mi funziona solo a 800x600, che è un
tantino frustrante.
Se cambio risoluzione dal menu "configura il desktop", mi fa uno strano
effetto: a metà schermo
il puntatore del mouse sparisce e ricompare alla sinistra, e tutto è
distorto...
Ho provato a cambiare la risoluzione tramite sax2, ma se la aumento continua
a rimanere 800x600,
e oltrettutto funziona pure male...
Questo è il mio Xorg.conf. In origine gli unici modes disponibili nella
section screen era:"default",
Li ho modificati per ottenere le diverse risoluzioni. Le modeline della
section modes invece sono invariate.
