[bglug] problema accellerazione grafica con kubuntu 6.10

Ciao a tutti, cercavo un aiuto per risolvere un problema con la mia 
scheda grafica.

Allora, ho una SIS integrata (in questo momento non ricordo il modello 
esatto, eventualmente domani vi posso far sapere) che dovrebbe 
supportare l'accellerazione 3d. Con il Kubuntu 6.06 era tutto ok, 
digitavo glxinfo e l'accelerazione funzionava regolarmente, così come 
Google Earth.
Da inizio hanno sono passato alla Kubuntu 6.10 (nuova installazione, su 
differente hd e partendo dalla live) e sono iniziati i problemi. Glxinfo 
mi restituisce errore e ovviamente Google Earth mi dice che sono in 
modalità emulata e va lentissimo. Altro sintomo, all'avvio e all'arresto 
il monitor mi segnala frequenze non supportate (poi dalla schermata del 
login funziona tutto), con la precedente versione andava bene.

Come vi dicevo ho ancora l'hd con la vecchia installazione e quindo ho 
confrontato xorg.conf, sono uguali.

Avete qualche idea su cosa verificare per far partire l'accellerazione 
grafica?
