Vodafone is the multinational company leader in mobile communication with 
more than 9000 employees in Italy. In order to support growth of IT 
function, we have been appointed with the research and selection of:

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
(Unix - Sun Solaris / HP)
The role provide operation on server and storage systems of Southern Europe 
data centres, ensuring availability and performance, in order to achieve 
maximum satisfaction and the best possible support for Vodafone Operations.

Requirements:
·         The person will be a specialist for Systems Management platform 
(Unix), responsible for the implementation and configuration on them.
·         The person maintains contact with Supplier in case of HW 
maintenance or other planned activity on servers, storage and backup 
infrastructures
·         Ordinary maintenance: responsible for processing the Service 
Requests for Unix, Storage and Backup activity within the agreed timeframes.
·         Incident handling: responsible for fixing incidents and problems 
of the System, Storage and Backup services.
·         Responsible for Patch management on Servers.
·         Responsible for Security management of the servers in order to be 
compliant with Sarbox regulations and security rules broadly as well as 
creation and cancellation account and reset password
·         Troubleshooting and performance analysis on servers, storage and 
backup infrastructures
·         Manage servers and storage moving from a building to another to 
make feasible building reorganization. Responsible for gathering all the 
information to ensure the feasibility of the activity.
·         Analyze and verify the backup process (status, logs and 
configurations) in order to guarantee the data protection policy

Candidate Skills, experience and profile:

We are looking for young professional (max 32 years), with a degree in 
Engineering, Computer Science, Telecomunication and a working experience of 
minimum 2 years in IT and/or TLC sector.
The ideal candidate has a deep know-how of following subjects:
o                                             activate and manage OS and 
Servers;
o                                             design, implement and manage 
Storage and SAN infrastructures
o                                             design, implement and manage 
Backup/Restore infrastructures, technologies and strategies
He has a deep knowledge on the Operating System (UNIX), management of HP 
cluster (metrocluster - true cluster) and SUN (Sun cluster), deep knowledge 
in Storage, SAN and Backup Infrastructures/Architectures and tools.
Knowledge on Data Protection Technologies and strategies (local and remote 
copies).
Good command of the English language is absolutely mandatory.
