E se io volessi utilizzare dhcpd ??

Ho letto in vari howto che può funzionare anche da client... ma quando eseguo 
il comando:

dhcp eth1

mi da questo output

Il problema sembra essere nel file dhcp.conf ... ma il problema è questo:

Io ho un modem/router collegato a eth1 che si occupa di assegnare l'indirizzo 
a eth1 con un suo serverino DHCP, in pratica prima gli assegna un indirizzo 
della sottorete cui afferisce il router (con IP 192.168.0.1) ... ad esempio 
192.168.0.2 ...poi quando si richiede l'utilizzo dell'adsl il modem si occupa 
del collegamento e passa alla scheda eth1 l'indirizzo assegnato dall'ISP. Ora 
se io volessi ripristinare la configurazione di eth1 quando la connessione è 
stabilita come faccio?? Definisco una sottorete in dhcp.conf con gli IP che 
il mio ISP mi può dare?? Non mi sembra il massimo....
