Ok, fatto il raid1 + 1 spare disk, per avere la massima sicurezza.
il sistema boota tranquillamente, ma controllando con dmesg vedo questo:

Starting balanced_irq
ACPI wakeup devices:
PCI0 CSAD HUB0 HRB UAR1 UAR2 USB0 USB1 USBE MODM
ACPI: (supports S0 S1 S4 S5)
devfs_mk_dev: could not append to parent for md/0
md: Autodetecting RAID arrays.
md: autorun ...
md: considering sdc2 ...
md: adding sdc2 ...
md: sdc1 has different UUID to sdc2
md: adding sdb2 ...
md: sdb1 has different UUID to sdc2
md: adding sda2 ...
md: sda1 has different UUID to sdc2
devfs_mk_dev: could not append to parent for md/1
md: created md1
md: bind<sda2>
md: bind<sdb2>
md: bind<sdc2>
md: running: <sdc2><sdb2><sda2>
raid1: raid set md1 active with 2 out of 2 mirrors
md: considering sdc1 ...
md: adding sdc1 ...
md: adding sdb1 ...
md: adding sda1 ...
md: created md0
md: bind<sda1>
md: bind<sdb1>
md: bind<sdc1>
md: running: <sdc1><sdb1><sda1>
raid1: raid set md0 active with 2 out of 2 mirrors
md: ... autorun DONE.

quello che mi preoccupa e' in particolare la linea:

devfs_mk_dev: could not append to parent for md/1

E' preoccupente? Scoppia tutto?

If something looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a
duck, what is it? The answer, of course, depends on whether or not the
name `duck' is a trademark! If it is, then the closest that something
can get, without permission of the owner of the trademark, is
`duck-like.'

"All parts should go together without forcing. You must remember that
the parts you are reassembling were disassembled by you. Therefore,
if you can't get them together again, there must be a reason. By all
means, do not use a hammer." IBM maintenance manual, 1975
