errore server virtuale

Ciao a tutti ho da pochissimo preso un server virtuale e quando provo a
mandare dei comandi mi da questo errore

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
	LANGUAGE = (unset),
	LC_ALL = (unset),
	LANG = "it_IT.UTF-8"
    are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").

Se invece provo a lanciare un locate mi viene restituito questo di
errore

lucadelu:~# locate lwpostgis.sql
locate: fatal error: Could not find user database
'/var/lib/slocate/slocate.db':  No such file or directory
