Lo so che sono un po' suori tempo... ma forse ho trovato su freshmeat un
programmino che fa per te:

GNU Parted 1.4.0-pre1
GNU Parted allows you to create, destroy, resize and copy partitions. It
supports ext2 and FAT (FAT16 and FAT32) filesystems and Linux swap devices,
and MS-DOS disk labels. This is useful for creating space for new operating
systems, reorganising disk usage, copying data between hard disks, and disk
imaging. The old stable version (1.0.x) will still be maintained for the
paranoid.
