[glux] Mouse seriale: XConfig

Ehm, per curiosita', sei sicuro che funzioni la porta COM a cui attacchi il
mouse?
Se la tua COM non e' integrata, posso portartene
un po' di modelli diversi....a quel punto puoi
ben sperare....
D'altronde se nemmeno da Knoppix riuscivi ad usare
il mouse, potrebbe sorgere il dubbio sull'effettiva funzionalita' della
porta sulla
scheda madre....
Che io sappia solo una volta ho riscontrato un problema di questo
tipo....pero' mi sembra che
tu sia gia' andato razionalmente per esclusione...
mal che vada, come ultima spiaggia, se hai bisogno ho io qualche modello di
scheda seriale su ISA....nel caso il tuo PC non e' troppo recente....;-P
(Nel weekend ho montato 64MB di ram e masterizzatore su un 486 IBM.....non
era una scheggia....ma funzionava bene....;-P)

Riporto qui sotto il mio XF86Config-4.
Ho provato a modificarlo sia a mano che con il comando dpkg-reconfigure
xserver-xfree86.
Confermo che il mouse in questione č seriale, non ho porte ps2.
Tengo a precisare che il mouse non funziona nč in modo testo, nč in modo
grafico.
Ho provato anche ad avviare il computer con knoppix in modalitā grafica.
Anche qui il sistema parte, ma il mouse non risponde.

Andando a sbirciare nel log di XFree86, mi ritrovo come errore:
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: cannot open device /dev/input/mice
No such device.
(EE) Generic Mouse: cannot open input device
(EE) PreInit failed for input device "Generic Mouse"
