will use it as justification for a defacement or DOS
(denial-of-service attack)," said Robert Ferrell, a security
researcher. "Most of them have no clear grasp of the causes they're
supposedly supporting or fighting against. They just want to appear
to be 'hacktivists' because that's a cool label to have.

"You cannot demand freedom while at the same time you take actions
that restrict others' freedom," Maurya said. "But it is so
 confusing for kids who now see reports on TV about how the U.S.
 government is bombing Iraq's TV station. They think they can help
 by taking websites like Al-Jazeera offline."
