Hello,
I wrote the PS2 mouse driver for PA/Linux last year. I am
writting the driver for HIL mouse. I do not know if gpm can handle this
hardware. As far as I now, the answer is NO. I would like your opinion
about my approach. My first thought is to emulate the behaviour of a PS2
mouse and thus, the system will see /dev/psaux as a real PS2 mouse. The
question is the possibility of doing this king of emulation. If yes how
do you I create the acceleration conversion? (I could easily translate
the button pressure) If no, what do you suggest me to do?
Perhaps, the emulation thing is not the best. Maybe I should create a
/dev/hil_mouse file and let's the work to gpm...
Thanks for your answer, Thomas.
