oops! sorry, made a mistake (Re: gpm freezes console)

hi!

please ignore the last set of logs. it's no wonder gpm wasn't doing
anything and there was an i/o error, because i forgot i had the trackball
disabled in the bios, so it didn't actually exist at the time. this was
left over from me trying to work out what was going on. it's not the cause
of the normal problem though, as i've always had the trackball enabled.

i'll send proper logs soon - with the trackball enabled!
