[gpm]gpm 1.20.1 and Gyration RF mouse

Have installed gpm-1.20.1 all went well but after
configuring it I always get the following message by
the bucketload when I press a button:
keyboard.c: can't emulate rawmode for keycode 272

Message doesnt appear when I move the mouse.

Mouse is Gyration RF

the command I use is gpm -m /dev/input/mice -t imps2

Am I using the wrong type? Any pointer appreciated.
