I just boyght a new mouse from logitech instead of a cheap trust model.
same story. sometimes the mouse fails to be initialized correctly. it
alsways works if X inits the mouse, from X --> VC it fails many times.

what always works is from a VC go to X, move the mouse (!) and go back
and re-issue rcgpm restart.

I have been suffering from this exact problem for a long time, and am
eager to find a resolution. If i can help in any way in troubleshooting
this let me know.....
