[gpm] Binding commands to key presses

Hello,
 I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem.
It may be easy but I've browsed the web for ages looking for
a solution and haven't found one.

I'd simply like to bind a command to each button on a mouse.
The mouse will not be used as a pointer. My intention is to use
it as a very cheap and simple way to invoke commands remotely.


If I can get it working I will put a mouse in my kitchen on the
end of a long cat5 extention cable and so that I can start and stop
the music player on running on a PC in a cupboard. I already
have speakers in the kitchen connected to the computers sound card.


Is there a way to do this with GPM?

Any help or advice is much appreciated.
