i didnt mean the source code itself, i meant the montone server hosting it ;)

turns out *i* had the outdated monotone client ... i was trying to use 0.16 
and i read the version error message wrong so i thought the server was 
outdated ;)

installed 0.17 and now i can pull the sources ...
