[gpm] libgpm under LGPL

Hi folks,


we would like link SDL, which is LGPL, against libgpm, which 
interferes with its license, GPL. 

An easy way out of this problem would, for example, be releasing
libgpm under LGPL. 

Would you agree with that ? 

BTW: in this process I'd also like to contribute some buildfile
changes to make single libgpm builds possible.
