[gpm] EINTR select() - also fd null upon daemon restart

First of all, thank you very much for your report and path.

Secondly, never send html-e-mails, please.

They are unreadable and not usable for patches.

I think the right solution would be to check if errno == EINTR and if
yes to redo the select() call.

For daemon restart: I think the only right solution would be
to reconnect to it.
