[gpm] gpm and mac mouse emulation

I can't get my mouse to use gpm with mac mouse emulation.
I have the required bits in my kernel, and echo "1" >
/proc/sys/dev/mac_hid/.....
but ctl-click and alt-click do not become right- and center-click.

I'm still building X windows, so for the time being, gpm is the only way
that I will be able to copy and paste commands to my console.  And
I'm stuck with a one-button USB mouse from an old mac.
