[ImoLUG] Aggiornare freepops

Ciao,

ho risolto il problema del tesseramento e adesso mi metto sotto 
con un altro problema: ho installato nel portatile il programma 
freepops versione 0.0.99, come ho fatto non mi ricordo, e' gia' passato 
un po' di tempo, ma ho trovato la versione col programma synaptic.
Il 
mio obiettivo e' poter usare thunderbird per gestire la posta su 
virgilio, che altrimenti sono obbligato a fare via web, ovviamente 
adesso non ci riesco, ho lanciato da terminale il comando freepopsd, ho 
impostato su thunderbird server pop = localhost e porta 2000, pero' 
quando provo a scaricare la posta risulta non essere presente nessuna 
mail nella casella, nonostante siano presenti diverse mail sia nuove 
sia lette.
Voglio provare ad aggiornare freepops all'ultima versiona, 
la 0.2.9, ho provato seguire la guida a questo link http://cybertech.altervista.org/it/freepops.php.
Quando ho dato il comando
sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver 
keyserver.ubuntu.com 3A33ACD8
il server impiegava troppo tempo per 
rispondere e la richiesta e' scaduta, poi ho dato il comando
sudo apt-
get update
e mi ha dato tanti messaggi di errore che non trovava la 
risorsa elencata nel file sources.list, poi sono andato su synaptic ma 
non mi da' la possibilita' di aggiornare il programma essendo l'opzione 
disabilitata.
Ho provato a seguire il link http://ppa.launchpad.net/marco/freepops/ubuntu
via web ma non esiste il pacchetto per la ubuntu feisty.
Ho il 
computer a 64 bit, non so se puo' servire come informazione.
Chiedo 
comprensione per la confusione che sicuramente ho fatto, ma non sono 
mai andato molto d'accordo con l'italiano... :-)
Come faccio ad 
aggiornare il programma freepops?
