 Hi guys,

the hpcboot.exe is not exactly what you name
'bugfree software". When the bootable image
exceeds 4MB you are out of luck.
Anyway, i have reset memory size in fixup_jornada820
  to 16MB and added
 { 0xe8000000, 0x00000000, 0x01000000, DOMAIN_IO, 1, 0, 0, 0 }, /* boot ROM*/
to io_desc, enabled fatfs, IRDA, UCB1200_*,
serial_cs, orinoco_cs. Here are the results:

- ucb1x00_audio is broken in latest cvs.
- irda compiles with warnings
- both do not work anyway (big surprise :)
- standard compactflash cards can be used, if
the size is <256MB. If the 256MB card is inserted the cardmgr
wants to insmod memory_cs for some reason.
- fuser is missing, the cardmgr complains on taking the card out.
- if the CF wireless card is inserted, the cardmgr wants
to insmod orinoco_cs, although it is in the kernel.
- /etc/pcmcia/serial is missing. if the CF gps card is
inserted, the ttyS00 is seen by the kernel, but
it does not appear in /dev/
- vi is functioning, but without the arrow keys is not very
   useful for me.
- ed is not available.
- editing config files with 'cat' is not an easy job.

New information, ideas and corrections are welcome.

 Oleg.
