Consider me a  luddite,but forcing
select SA1101
select SA1100_SSP

for the SA1100_JORNADA820 is going too far :)
It is fully legitimate that i boot with the serial console
without the sa1100fb and then do
modprobe j820_keyb
modprobe sa1101fb
modprobe sa1101usb (for my mouse)

PS. The def-config/jornada820 can
        support the "standard" config, so a normal user is
        not confused.
