That's another part of what I stubbornly copied over from sa1111.c,
together with the fact that the ACK happens inbetween those two CLR.

Yes, I *should* have included a comment stating how clueless I am.
Actually, I wasn't quite sure the code would even work at all.
Consider the whole file as being copied by a monkey who didn't understand
anything about the global meaning of the IO happening,
only local translation rules.
