The script is very x86-centric, as everything on this planet -
there is no option to select sa11xx as a controller.
It probably sees PCMCIA as some "external" hotplug
device, that can be shut down at any time 
and can't even imagine that it kills the root filesystem.
I'd like to see the boot script that will unload the ide 
or scsi driver :) These are the same reasons why the 
usb-ohci driver _must_ see the "PCI" bus.
