I know. And i have heard many times that things blow up.
IDE is also not built for hotplugging
and is even more dangerous because of stronger
currents, but i have done removing the ide-cd module, 
unplugging the dvd-reader, later plugging the dvd and
insmod ide-cd. Not that i will advise anybody to do
that.
