kapmd problem

The debian shutdown scripts kill -TERM all processes
before to try to umount anything.
But kill -TERM of kapmd will shut down the machine --
so partitions are not properly umounted on shutdown.
In the meantime, I disabled the kill -TERM from the debian scripts;
but the apm support should be fixed.
What work-around do you use? What fix do you propose?

Don't worry about what anybody else is going to do. The best way to predict
the future is to invent it. Really smart people with reasonable funding can
do just about anything that doesn't violate too many of Newton's Laws!
