allora con hylafax riesco a mandare i fax ma volevo avviare 
automaticamente i servizi e trovato qualche istruzione in rete:
E' possibile configurare il sistema per l'avvio in automatico dei servizi.:
 a) con i privilegi di root, editare il file /etc/rc.local aggiungendo 
la riga
 usr/local/sbin/hylafax start
 e la riga
 usr/local/sbin/faxmodem ttyS0
 b) nel file /etc/inittab occorre inserire la riga
 S0:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS0

vabbè a parte che a me stanno in /usr/sbin ma non riesco a trovare il 
files /etc/rc.local e cercando qualcosa di simile trovo tutti script di 
shell invece inittab lo ho trovato.

dove le devo aggiungere le righe usr/sbin/hylafax start e 
usr/sbin/faxmodem ttySL0 ???
ho trovato un file rc.d.readme che dice:

Hi!

Some people expect the system startup scripts in /etc/rc.d/.
We use a slightly different structure for better LSB compliance.
You can find the equivalent files in /etc/init.d/.
The behaviour of the scripts can be configured in the files
below the directory /etc/sysconfig/.

For detailed information please have a look into the SuSE Linux manual.
If you don't have a printed manual, you can find the electronic version
in /docu on the first CDROM or in the package 'books.rpm'.

nel /etc/init.d/ c'è un file che si chiama rc ma è uno script di shell
