scozzese che sta realizzando un film d&#39;animazione 3d (billi the vet). <br>
Avevo mandato un messaggio a giugno per la ricerca di un sistemista con poca o alcuna esperienza. <br>
Attualmente cerchiamo una persona che ricopra un ruolo di maggiore responsabilita&#39;,<br>
che sarebbe poi il mio posto, perche&#39; a fine febbraio lascio il lavoro.<br>
Vi inoltro la descrizione della posizione in inglese. La ricerca e&#39;
abbastanza urgente e il nuovo sistemista dovrebbe trasferirsi a glasgow
prima che io vada via, in maniera da fare un po&#39; di training.<br>

The candidate must have a strong knowledge of unix/linux<br>
administration (kernel/modules compiling, modules installation,<br>
XFree86 configuration,boot configuration,init script handling). Must<br>
also have good troubleshoting skills (in both hardware and software<br>
problems).<br>
He/She should have an average knowledge of windows xp configuration<br>
and software installation.<br>
A previous working experience is necessary, even if not in the same position.<br>

The ideal candidate have &lt;2 years of experience in a similar position,<br>
have passion for unix networking and scripting and have no problems to<br>
also perform hardware support to servers and help users to get what<br>
they expect from their workstations.<br>
We don&#39;t expect that he/she knows all the things that we already have<br>
here, but should be able to learn them quickly.<br>

The main tasks are the following:<br>
-administration of about 40 user workstation (windows XP, Linux)<br>
-administration of a 1Tb file server (Suse 9.1)<br>
-administration of a 7Tb file server (Windows Server 2003)<br>
-administration of a FreeBSD server (Apache,PHP,MySQL,DNS,Mail)<br>
-administration of a ftp server (slackware)<br>
-administration of a backup system (Retrospect 7.0)<br>
-administration of the render farm (around 160 linux/maya render nodes with muster job dispatcher)<br>
-administration of the compositing farm (20 windows/digital fusion nodes)<br>
-periodically monitor calibration<br>
-hardware maintanance<br>
-users support<br>

Main software used on the workstation: maya 7.0, photoshop, digital<br>
fusion, muster 4.5. There are also 2 AVID workstations.<br>

Required languages: shell scripting, php, SQL.<br>
Optional languages: MEL scripting<br>
