[Primipassi] problema con chiusura mozzilla improvvisa

Ho il seguente problema:
OS Debian Sarge,
Windos Manager Gnome

quando apro mozzilla mail, e mozzilla o anche solo mozzilla mi capita
che leggendo una mail mi si chiude tutto.
cosa puo essere
