[Primipassi] Problema con modem 56K - [SiS] AC'97 Modem Controller

Ho verificato con il comando sopra ottengo:
kernel-source-2.6.22.5-31

Comunque sto veramente impazzendo per settare questo modem.
Dal file ModemData sembra che il driver sia snd-intel8x0m, che é già presente nella versione di Linux, inoltre viene menzionato anche slmodemd, che ho già scaricato e eseguendo seguenti comandi:

$ su - root
Copy the slmodemd over:
# cp slmodemd /usr/sbin/slmodemd
# chmod +x /usr/sbin/slmodemd

# slmodemd --help
# slmodemd -c ITALY --alsa modem:1
