Luminance Ratio è un progetto musicale che riunisce alcuni tra i protagonisti della scena drone ed elettroacustica italiana. Il gruppo utilizza le più svariate fonti sonore, synth, chitarre, piatti, laptop, effetti, melodica, microfoni a contatto e field recordings per ricamare un delicato filo di suoni, fuori da una precisa collocazione nello spazio e nel tempo. Seguendo un approccio che si può far risalire al seminale Charlemagne Palestine o allo stesso Terry Riley, i Luminance Ratio si inoltrano nei meandri della nuova psichedelia, un magma primordiale in cui si muovono ancestrali forme di vita e minimali risonanze evocative. Sfruttando la profonda intensità del suono analogico, danno vita a un concretismo musicale rarefatto e crepuscolare fatto di ipnotici soundscapes di vibrante e trascendentale emotività e suggestive atmosfere iper-minimaliste: un suono estatico e narcolettico, un climax spettrale, immoto, una lenta nebbia senza voce che tutto inghiotte. Una perfetta colonna sonora come anticipazione dell'ineluttabile silenzio.
