La prima frase è tutta una subordinata e manca di una principale
(spiegazione un po' confusa, lo so).

Forse "Sembra che sia in corso la configurazione del filesystem di base
e il programma uscirà quindi senza cercare di configurare realmente
LILO. Invece se questo..... "

Manca il verbo nella prima frase... "C'è una configurazione...." o "Una
configurazione di LILO esiste già nel file..." o in qualsiasi altro modo
ti piaccia.

dato che dici "si veda"... poi potresti dire "si scelga uno dei bitmap"
oppure cambiare il "si veda" con "vedere".
