What is this list for?

This list is for (but not limited to) archaeologists who have an interest in archaeological computing, archaeoinformatics, quantitative methods and other similar topics.
We focus on the discussion about the stardards for archaeological record and documentation, too.
We are discussing also about free/open source software, open formats and standards, open access to scientific literature.

How can I post to this list?

You can post to the Archaeology mailing list by sending an email to archaeology@lists.linux.it. However, if you are not a list subscriber, your post will need to be approved before it is posted to the list so there may be a time delay. We strongly encourage you to join the list before posting, however. Please feel free to post an introduction of yourself, including your interests.
