SVG open format on Internet Archaeology

For those interested in open formats for 2D vector graphics, a recent
article in the latest issue of Internet Archaeology deals with the
adoption of the W3C SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) in archaeological web
applications.

While being a mostly technical topic, it's of major interest to see what
can be achieved with this "new technology" that wasn't previously
