software to install

I've checked with the apt-cache command on a fresh, standard repositories,
Debian squeeze and here's the software available:

This software can be installed directly via command line IF THE VERSION IS
ACCEPTABLE. If a new version is available and offers significant
improvements we should consider the options to package them and install in
other ways.
