upgrade archeos 3.0

Hello,
just a question about updating the distribution:
is ist possible to upgrade the archeos 3.0 on ubuntu 9.10 and later to  
10.10, or will this create to much other problems.
I need - for different hardware-reasons - to run ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10.
