ArcheOS VirtualBox

Hi, sorry for the late answer...
About the virtual image for ArcheOS I think is a good idea, I'll definitely add this task for the next version of ArcheOS (Theodoric)...
If I'll have some spare time I don't exclude that an image can be get ready also for ArcheOS 4 Caesar, but is definitely something we need to test very close...
Any preference on the virtualization format? I think OVF should be the standard now...

About the "ArcheOS on USB" thread, basically I agree with Domenico: the speed depends a lot from the hardware used, since ArcheOS is not optimized to rum from a USB pen but from a CD/DVD drive or from an Hard Disk.
Since ArcheOS is built on top of Debian Squeeze, I think this procedure should work with some minor hacks: http://live.debian.net/manual/html/live-manual.en.html#179
As we use live-build to create the template for the ArcheOS iso, we could use the lb config feature to create an img file instead of the iso-hybrid, but again, we need to test it intensively...

Hope that helps...

Ciao,

Fabrizio
