Compiling/using PPT GUI

Hi,

I'm attempting to follow this tutorial on making a 3D scan with
pictures http://arc-team-open-research.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/how-to-make-3d-scan-with-pictures-and.html

I've noticed that the original location for PPT GUI is no longer
online http://www.arc-team.homelinux.com/arcteam/ppt.php

After some research I found it located at Github
https://github.com/archeos/ppt-gui/tree/master/ppt-gui-package

However, I'm having trouble installing it and getting it to work. Do
you have detailed instructions on how to do this on Ubuntu (14.04)
